PRODUCT INFORMATION


Under the influence of Vitamin C, blood vessels become healthier and more elastic. Therefore, it helps reduce bleeding from the gums. Reduces the risk of periodontitis, and also maintains vision, helps reduce cholesterol levels and prevent atherosclerosis

 

Purpose:

- For the prevention and in addition to the treatment of conditions associated with vitamin C deficiency.
- To maintain the body's natural resistance to infections.
- To reduce the severity and duration of colds.
- With intense mental and physical stress.
- In people under stress.

Citrovit Vitamin C is administered orally. It is taken with water.

 

Recommended doses:

Adults - from 100 to 600 mg per day (one to six tablets per day);
Children from 1 to 6 years -100 mg (one tablet daily);
Children over 6 years - from 100 to 300 mg (one to three tablets daily).
 


Contraindications and special warnings for use:

Vitamin C should be used with caution in patients with phenylketonuria, erythrocyte glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemochromatosis, thalassemia, sideroblastic anemia, hyperoxaluria, glucose-isomaltase insufficiency, and in conditions accompanied by increased blood pressure. Avoid taking high doses by patients with nephro- and urolithiasis.

Smoking reduces the absorption of Vitamin C (lower plasma levels have been shown). Taking high doses of Vitamin C may affect the results of tests for transaminases, lactate dehydrogenase, bilirubin and stool blood samples. High doses of the vitamin (more than 2 g per day) may compromise reduction tests for glucose and creatinine in the blood and urine (glucose oxidase test).

Due to the mildly stimulating effect of Vitamin C, it is advisable not to take it at the end of the day.

 

 

Warnings:

Citrovit is a food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. It is not a substitute for a varied diet. No side effects were observed at the indicated doses.
